Why you should enter

Melbourne's premier 'open' T20 Cricket Tournament is launching in Sydney this Summer. This is cricket as you have never experienced it before, where the excitement extends beyond the cricket pitch. Here is why you should enter a team and be part of history:

The Experience

From the red-carpet launch event to the Grand Final held in one of the city's best grounds, in a span of 6 weeks, this the ultimate sporting & social cricketing experience at the grassroots level. Before your game, experience a pre-game build-up and hype that only international cricketers are used to. During game interviews, post-game reviews and weekly analysis will ensure that you cannot wait to get on the field for your next game. Look out for our off-field entertainment including leading DJs, models, cheer-girls, food, special guests and a host of other surprises!

Thought you had to be an international cricketer to experience all this? Think again.

Create your dream Team

Ever imagined creating your own dream team with your mates, club members or work collegues and seeing how you go? Will this is your opportunity to live that dream and be captain, coach and super selector all in one! Infinity Cricket is giving you the unique opportunity to go from grassroots to glory. Spread the word far and wide and may the force be with you!

The Cricket

This event gives you a unique social experience built on a solid competitive cricket platform. We play under official the International T20 Rules – so bowlers watch that front-foot! Each team plays a minimum of 4 matches in the GROUP Stage. More than half the teams will then progress to the KNOCK-OUT stage, where the stakes get higher with every match. We score the matches electronically giving you unprecedented insight & analysis into your matches, with features such as Wagon-wheels & Manhattan charts. You can also view the match scorecards live on the internet, so start building up your fan base!

Prizes & Giveways

There is no better feeling than being able to lift the tournament trophy at the Grand Final. The winning team will have the honour of lifting the coveted Infinity Cricket Cup and get bragging rights. In addition, the finalists receive a prize pack including an attractive winner's cash cheque. We have a number of other giveaways to the tournament's top performers and we have created a few more categories – because we want to share the love! Watch out also for player of the match & giveaways at selected matches during the event.

The Organisation

Just think about the cricket. Let us worry about the rest. There is a scorer, umpire & match coordinator for every match. We also set up the grounds and supply the cones, stumps, scoreboard and of course the match balls – all at no additional cost to you! We want YOU to have the best possible experience so give us a shout if we can be of assistance!

Play with Pride

Take the field in completely customised coloured sublimated team kits. You can choose your own team colours, design options and personalise the shirt with player name & number. We also have a number of other cricket apparel, merchandise & equipment that you can purchase.

Melbourne's premier 'open' T20 Cricket Tournament is launching in Queensland this Summer. This is cricket as you have never experienced it before, where the excitement extends beyond the cricket pitch. Our events are suitable for the following types of cricketers:

Active

As an 'Active' cricketer, you live, breath and play cricket at every opportunity. You are likely to be currently involved in club cricket – either Grade, Warehouse, Sub-District or any other form of organized cricket. If this is you, there is no better way than to test your skills against cricketers from across the city. Our event at the highest level unites the best cricketers in the city together in an uncompromising challenge.

Fawad Ahmed, the refugee-turned professional cricketer who has now represented Australia in T20Is and the Melbourne Renegades in the BBL was a player in our Melbourne tournaments from 2011-2012.

Irregular

As an irregular cricketer – you love your cricket, but due to work or family commitments are finding it increasingly difficult to play seasonal cricket or train week in and week out. Or perhaps you are sick of standing around the field playing two-day cricket. If this is the case, our event is perfect for you. It is over in 6 weeks, the matches last no more than three hours and due to the format, we guarantee you will be entertained both ON and OFF the field.

Travis Tomlinson used to play club cricket in New Zealand before migrating to Australia, where due to work commitments found himself unable to play the sport he loved. He then came across Infinity Cricket & registered a team with his mates who had also recently migrated from New Zealand. Travis is now back into the game and also connected with his mates.

Every time you walk past the living room cabinet, you see cricket trophies you received from what seems like an eternity away. Every time you visit the garage, you can't help but glance at your old cricket kit bag. It has been a while now since you've been away from the game. You thought you had given it up. Until now. Our events enable players to roll back the years, re-live their glory days and have a laugh with mates. Dust off the cobwebs – you have more trophies to add to your collection!

Puneet Joshi played a lot of cricket as a junior, but after marriage & kids, he had slowly gone away from the game. However the allure of creating your own team and competing was too good to resist. Puneet created a team with his work colleagues – the 'Rising Stars' – an apt name indeed.
